    The Murdaugh family saga continues to unfold as Richard Alexander "Buster" Murdaugh, Jr., the eldest son of Alex Murdaugh, has filed a defamation lawsuit against several media groups. The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) reopened Stephen Smith's case, classifying it as a homicide in March 2023.
