It’s not just the physical side of womaning & mothering. It’s the "invisible shit," the overwhelming, life-sucking, energy draining mental load of that has a way of consuming us. We are the planners, the organizers, the thinkers and overthinkers, the overreactors, the worriers and the regretters. We are the fixers, the doubters, the encouragers, the supporters, and the ones who are in charge of remembering it all. From our kids activity schedule and grocery shopping, to remembering that the dog hasn’t been groomed in months or that our somebody has a dentist appointment, ooo what about that friend we promised we’d meet for lunch but we really need to cancel because we have way too much going on. Our mom's made it look easy and effortless.. but the truth is many of us are drowning in the mental load that just comes with being women.
So what can we do about it?
