The Media Is Letting Trump LIE to Our Faces

Remember when the Trump campaign sued CBS and 60 Minutes for over $10 billion in damages, because the interview was lightly edited for clarity? Well, Trump’s recent 60 Minutes interview was shortened to only 28 minutes- cutting key portions of the interview out on air.

Of course, this is completely fine for Trump. MAGA is completely quiet about the “election interference,” they were screaming about. But the interview contained some startling admissions from Trump, notably that he “doesn’t know” who Changpeng Zhao is, someone he pardoned after Zhao facilitated a $2 billion purchase of a cryptocoin from Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump’s crypto company earlier this year.

Joe and Cosima discuss how the mainstream media does a great job of airing Trump’s lies to millions of Americans, all without fact-checking them until days later.

The media should adopt the George Stephanopoulos approach of immediately calling the lies out as soon as they are said.
