The Maya Kowalski Case

This episode we shine a light on the case of Maya Kowalski, a young girl diagnosed with an extremely rare and even more so debilitating disease known as complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS). We take a look not only at this brave young woman's battle against her affliction but also the fight her family (in particular her mother) had to endure just to secure her proper treatment. This story goes so far beyond providing proper medical care to a child in pain that it has taken nearly 5 year's for any meaningful form of resolution to be met and bye that time the Kowalski family had lost so much. The story also sheds light on the many institution's in this country that completely fail us, even when we follow the rules as an abiding citizens. With this being said please be aware we do discuss a few sensitive topics including suicide, please listen at your own discretion.
