This is part one of a multi-part series on the Marquis de Lafayette, famed hero of both the American and French revolutions. In this episode, I go over a brief summary of the events that preceded Lafayette's entrance onto the American stage. I also include the key takeaways from his early life that enabled him to accomplish all that he did at such a young age.
