On March 11, 2011, a horrific murder inside a Lululemon Athletica store in Bethesda, Maryland stunned the community. Employees Jayna Murray and Brittany Norwood were inside the store after closing when a violent attack left Murray dead and Norwood claiming they had been assaulted by masked intruders.

As investigators examined the scene, Norwood’s story began to unravel. Evidence revealed the crime had been staged, and the attack stemmed from a confrontation after Murray discovered Norwood had allegedly stolen merchandise. Norwood was later convicted of Murray’s murder and sentenced to life in prison without parole.
