The Less Desirables Recorded in The Such-N-Such Media Studios at Liberty Plaza.
Tim and Bethany welcome back a familiar face, Zach McCraw, along with comedians Nevin Sharma and Seth Kerman, who are gearing up for something big on the ninth floor: a full week of New Experimental Comedy at Culture WS.
Nevin breaks down the idea behind the festival. Seasoned comics step onstage with material they have never done before. No safety net, no polished sets, just pure creative danger. Seth talks about building characters from Goodwill props, the thrill of trying something untested, and the strange comfort of failing in front of a crowd that knows the show is an experiment by design.
The group dives into the format: monologue, DJ banter, performances, and post‑set interviews. They talk about the intimacy of a tiny room where the audience is close enough to feel every win and every glorious flop. They also get into the strength of the local comedy scene, the documentary being filmed during the festival, and the surprisingly loyal fan base that keeps showing up for the chaos.
There is also a detour into Goodwill rankings, retro record players, bruises mistaken for hickeys, minting money, and the hazards of peppermint oil. In other words, a normal Less Desirables conversation.
New Experimental Comedy Week runs April 26 through May 2 with seven nights of shows at Culture WS. Seating is limited, tickets are invite‑based, and the comedians want new faces, so reaching out on social media is the way in.
