  • Will Auston Matthews rise to the occasion?
    May 12 2025

Jonas and James recap the frustrating game 4 shutout loss for the Maple Leafs vs Florida, the undisciplined play of the Leafs, the lack of secondary scoring, the struggling Leafs power-play, Max Domi's hit on Sasha Barkov, and the monumental playoff struggle to score from Captain Auston Matthews. Can the Maple Leafs fix these issues before game 5, and will Craig Berube consider bringing Nick Robertson and or David Kampf back into the lineup?

Jonas and James look back on the Maple Leafs game 2 win over Florida, Max Pacioretty turning back the clock, William Nylander setting the tone again, the Leafs shot blocking crew led by Tanev, Benoit and Rielly, and Joseph Woll's performance in place of Anthony Stolarz. The guys provide an update on Stolarz, and look ahead to game 3 in Florida where we expect the Panthers will play their best game of the season, as the Leafs aim for a split, beginning on Friday night from Sunrise.

    May 6 2025

The Maple Leafs hold on for a 5-4 win over Florida in game one of the second round. Joseph Woll relieves Anthony Stolarz, after the leafs starter took an elbow to the head by Sam Bennett. Jonas and James discuss the game, the fact that no penalty was called on the play and that Bennett won't be disciplined by the league, and if we will see Stolarz again in this series. The guys talk about William Nylander's dominant performance, Max Pacioretty's positive impact in only 13 minutes of play and Morgan Rielly's record setting goal from the blue-line for the Maple Leafs in the playoffs, as Toronto gets ready for game 2 on Wednesday night.
