We complete our tour of formative childhood movies for the crew by visiting Liz's all-timer, The Last Unicorn, a lesser-known but terribly interesting animated film released in 1982. (To pre-empt one question we've already received: this is not to be confused with the film "Death of a Unicorn" from 2025...very different movie! In this one, the unicorn doesn't die, and that's kind of the whole point. Themes of immortality, and so on.)
Listen in, and we guarantee the nimblest of possible transitions between contemplating the pain and depths of mortal existence and discussing whether a certain flesh-colored living tree is meant to be trapping a man between a pair of breasts or a pair of balls.
This is the least-known film we've covered on the show to date, but we're glad to embrace variety. We do cover key details to help you follow along, and we hope it's still a good hang.
