The LNG Terminal Misdirect Happening in Real Time

This week’s announcement of a new levy to pay for a new LNG terminal to save us from an energy crisis was a masterclass in misdirection - from denying a tax is a tax because it’s ring fenced, to having state funded media prominently platform fossil fuel lobbyists as expert voices unchallenged all while ignoring an obvious alternative because it doesn’t benefit the lobbyist funders.
