The Kingdom at Hand

This week, we begin our spring series through the Sermon on the Mount by slowing down and listening to the context that gives Jesus’ words their weight. In Matthew 4:17–5:2, we see a kingdom drawing near—not through power or force, but through invitation. Jesus calls ordinary people, heals the broken, and takes his seat on the mountain to reveal what life under God’s reign truly looks like.
