  • Turbines Blown Away
    Apr 25 2025

Good Morning, Afternoon or Night. Depending on where you are watching/listening from in the world. It’s that time again as we bring another podcast for your pleasure.

This week we discuss the 5-0 demolition of Peterborough Sports. Could have been 10 or even 15. Was nice to see us turn up for our final home league game of the season, after the poor showing away at Kings Lynn. Still raw that result, what might have been.

As we now head into the 46th and final league game of the season away at Hereford. A team who have something to play for still. Ideally needing all 3 points themselves to make sure of a playoff spot, with 3 teams below still fighting for a spot themselves. Will we play 5 at the back, will we rest players. Though we have a slim chance we could still be crowned champions, if we win and others lose. Not getting carried away with that thought though. We’re joined by Tom from the London Bulls in our Spy in the Camp as we discuss the season they’ve had and what they expect from Saturdays game.

Thank you to Ben Maidment for joining us once again. Nearly in double figures now for appearances.

Whatever happens this weekend, enjoy the game on Saturday. We’ll be back for the play offs, one way or another. Thank you to all once again for watching and listening. We appreciate every single one of you. #UTIHP

  • Harriers, Brackley and Iron fan review.
    Apr 21 2025

A chance for three fans, from the top three clubs in National League North to sit and have a chat. We have Wes from Kidderminster Harriers, Will from Brackley Town and Ben from Scunthorpe United.

We discuss, with two games left, who is going to win the league? Will managers be sacked at the end of the season, depending on what happens with promotion/play offs? Has it been a good campaign for each club? We chat Phil Brown firing in all directions. Full time v part time, the pros and cons. Brackley Town always the bridesmaid never the bride, will that change at last? Will Scunthorpe United resurrect the season on Easter Monday.

A really good honest review of each teams season and chances, as the last two games are upon us. Finally we ask each person who they think will win the league and play offs.

We hope you enjoy this one. As Scunthorpe fans let’s keep those fingers crossed and get behind the team #UTIHP

  • Good Friday Needed
    Apr 16 2025

A day earlier than normal and the 2nd attempt, as we approach the Easter weekend and the Kings Lynn game on Good Friday. Guess this is the business end now, 2 games over Easter then then the trip to Hereford. This is where we find out what happens with the season.

On this weeks pod, we discuss the victory over Spennymoor Town. Stand out players, good to see Mo starting and attacking from the off. Rowley having another good game, much like Scales just gets the job done. A solid back 4, Rose or Kelly? Clean sheet 25.

We look ahead to Kings Lynn on Friday, won’t be easy. They’re looking for points too. How will

Clunan and Denton do on an old stomping ground? Clunan for the winner? One of us thinks so. We also have our Spy in the Camp for the game too.

Danny Whitehall, would you have him on the bench at 80% fit? Is he needed on the bench?

We also discuss “ticketgate” The Hereford tickets fiasco. Whatever happened, the club would be vilified. With only 700 tickets offered and over 1500 season ticket holders, fans were going to miss out. Yes even those who got sent the link on email. For those who didn’t get the link, please check you have ticked the box for ticket news on your club account.

Once again, thank you to all for your continued support and feedback. If you have friends that haven’t heard the pod yet, let them know about it too. Here’s hoping by Friday evening, we’re a third of the way to hoisting the flags up 😉 #UTIHP

  • Just a wobble?
    Apr 11 2025

A new week can only mean a new podcast.

As we look at the away game at Radcliffe FC and what went wrong as nothing really went right for us. As much as you don’t want flashbacks, it’s all part of the healing process and has to be discussed 😉

We then have Spy in the Camp, as Steve joins us to discuss the visit of Spennymoor Town. They’re riding the crest of a

wave at the moment, having beaten Rochdale to reach the FA Trophy Final at Wembley. Then beating Curzon away midweek. Now sitting just outside a play off place. We then discuss that game and news that Fin Shrimpton is ineligible for them. Hopefully we have the mentality to pick up the points.

We then have the usual chat, Past Player Watch and Hero, Idiot and Moment.

Till the next time, thank you for listening/watching. Here’s hoping we’re all smiles for the next one as we’re at the business end of the season. Will we be Champions or in the Play Offs again?

  • THE HEAVENS REFLECT OUR LABOURS
    Apr 4 2025

Good Morning, Afternoon, Evening or Night. Wherever you may be, whatever you may be doing. Our very first episode was released on 28th March 2023. Who would have thought, that this episode is our 50th - this season, 2 years later. We’ve come on a bit since then.

In this episode we discuss the Southport victory, another 3 points in the promotion push.

A look ahead to the Radcliffe game and in doing so, we’re joined by Podcast Presenter and Radcliffe Stadium Announcer, Jon Belfield for Spy in the Camp.

We are also joined by friend of the pod Ben Maidment. He joins us for a 41 game review and a look towards the end of the season. Where will we finish? Will the league be wrapped up by Easter, or the last game of the season? 🫣

One of us will even be on a tram for the time going to Radcliffe.

Lots of laughs and fun as always, some things will never change over the 2 years. Thank you all for the support and here is to the next 2 years #UTIHP

  • Cheers, Chaos and Commitment!
    Mar 28 2025

We cover it all in the latest Iron Hour Podcast. A look back at the fine victory over Chester FC. A complete team performance? Best we’ve played all season? However you see it, 3 points is what we needed and 3 points is what we got. Plus fairground rides, food and drink vendors all outside the ground as we celebrated a new National League North attendance record.

Then from the highs of victory to the lows. A few hours later news broke of FC100000. A subscription service, that wanted to become the “5th member” of the board. As Gareth was involved and also on the pod, only right we asked him what the hell happened. Seeing as he’d told none of us about anything. Ultimately though after a fan backlash, the board vetoed the idea.

A look at the Lincs Cup final, will it be our only silverware of the season or is that just the start.

Then a look ahead at Southport visiting. How do we think they’ll set up, do we keep the same team as we did against Chester? We also have our usual Spy in the Camp section too.

Whatever happens between now and the end of the season. We’ll be here with you every step of the way. #UTIHP

  • Glanford Park Awaits
    Mar 21 2025

Good Day to all. This episode we have Barra, Max and Becky. Good to have Becky on, a rose between two thorns. We discuss the defeat at Kiddminster and the implications it has for the league title push. Ultimately though the league title is still in our hands. Would 90 points be enough to win the league? Do you agree?

We then look forward to the Chester FC game on Non League Day. A game that sees 1st and 2nd go head to head. A game that has sold over 8000 tickets already.. With Chester fans travelling in great numbers, for a 6hr round trip. Unbelievable effort by all.

Were joined by Thomas Feaheny to discuss Non League Day.

Also joined by Joe Brownbill a Chester fan, who is our Spy in the Camp.

Whatever happens on the day get behind the team. Be loud, be proud and let’s hope we’re celebrating with 3 points at the end of the day.

Back with another pod, actually it’s not a surprise at all is it. Bonjour, Hola, Konnichiwa, where ever you may be, Hello. Thanks for joining us once again.

This week we discuss the Farsley Celtic result and have a look ahead to the big game tonight, against Kidderminster Harriers. 1st v 4th and Phil Browns men will want to reverse the result from when we beat them 2-0 on a Friday night. Probably one of the games of the season so far.

We’re also joined by Wes a Harriers fan, for Spy in the Camp. Really enjoyed speaking with him and grateful for him joining us as he was laid up Ill.

As always, till next time. Thank you and we hope you enjoy it. #UTIHP
