The Intentional Artistry Podcast was created by a hairstylist for hairstylists. IA is geared to helping stylists that feel like they need to work on their technical skills as well as their mindset behind the chair. The Intentional Artistry Podcast is a deeper dive into our industry from a hairstylist's perspective that has been in the industry for over 13 years. My intention and goal for Intentional Artistry is to help stylists believe in themselves and create their own version of success! If you're ready to level up, then you've come to the right place!

  • How To Sell Products Without The Ick Factor
    Apr 1 2024

Have you ever wondered how to sell products to your clients when you’re doing their hair?

If you answered yes, then keep reading.

Selling products isn’t a bad word or an icky thing. Especially when you are educating your clients on what they need and WHY they need them.

Ultimately it is your client’s decision whether they buy or not and how much they buy.

Before we continue, please like and save this post for later.

It is NOT your responsibility to judge whether they can afford little or much. It is your responsibility to educate and to let them know what is available and leave the rest to them.

    My big tip:

If you use products behind the chair, then please make sure that you are retailing the same products!!!

When you are applying products then talk about them.

Why you’re using it and how to use it. Let them see and hold each product.

When you finish your appointment, take your client to the retail area and show them or pull all the products you used or the products the client mentioned they wanted and ask them if they want to take any of them home.

That’s it! Simple and easy as that!
