  • Kyle Whalum!
    Jun 30 2025

Today on the podcast, I'm chatting with my long-time friend, Kyle Whalum. Kyle is a world-class bassist (Katy Perry, Kelly Clarkson, The Voice, LeAnn Rimes, and SO many other artists), an Ultra Runner (watch his documentary here).

He's a dad of three, a husband to one, and he's one of my favourite people and dearest friends. This one goes all over the place in the best ways, and I absolutely LOVE it.This is a great chat. I'm so grateful we got the chance to sit down together and have it. Enjoy!

  • The Healing Vision (for a Fractured Faith)
    May 18 2025

Union. It was the point from the beginning. But our fractured vision keeps this union obscured from view. Contemplation heals our ways of seeing.

  • God Speed and Silence
    May 7 2025

For the past few weeks, I’ve been walking—not for exercise, not for productivity, but as a slow, embodied practice of contemplative listening. This episode is about what I’ve been learning—not through visions or breakthroughs, but through heat, cracked sidewalks, dead snakes, and the wonder of the incarnation.

  • kah-RAH (the power in NAMING)
    Apr 30 2025

Throughout the ancient Near East, creation stories share a common theme surrounding the act of NAMING. Their profound ideas still offer wisdom for us today. In this episode, we explore another profound word and idea from the Hebrew creation story found in Genesis 1. This is another part in the Earth and Skies series.

  • Tohu vaVohu (the raw materials for creation)
    Apr 30 2025

In the story of creation found in Genesis 1, God creates a beautiful and fruitful universe in which humans and all living things can thrive. That’s where the story ends, but it begins with tohu va-vohu - an unproductive, disordered, and chaotic landscape. This desolate beginning point provides the raw materials the Divine uses to bring about something beneficial and good (and he can do the same for you).
