Homeschooling families thrive in community—resourceful, resilient, and deeply committed to giving their children a meaningful, high‑quality education. At the Homeschool Counseling Network (HCN), we believe that same spirit of connection should extend to the support services homeschoolers rely on. Families deserve access to professionals who understand their values, their flexibility, and the unique rhythms of home education.
HCN was created to bridge a long‑standing gap: helping homeschooling families find compassionate, culturally competent professionals who truly “get” them. With one foot in the homeschooling world and one in the helping professions, we saw the need clearly—and decided to build something better.
This podcast is an extension of that mission.
Here, you’ll find conversations with experts across education, allied health, counseling, therapy, consulting, and coaching—professionals who understand the needs and preferences of homeschool families because they’ve worked with them, studied them, or lived that life themselves. These interviews complement the broader HCN ecosystem: our growing Preferred Provider Directory, our blog, our free resource library, and our digital downloads and guides—including our comprehensive 100+ page guide on supporting your mental health while homeschooling.
Just like the content across our site, episodes explore a wide range of topics:
- academic advising and learning support
- mental health and emotional well‑being
- coaching and consulting for homeschool parents
- testing, therapy, and allied health services
- practical strategies for navigating home education with confidence
Most importantly, this podcast is shaped by you. We invite our listeners to share the questions, concerns, and topics that matter most so we can bring you conversations that are genuinely useful, encouraging, and relevant to your homeschool journey.
