In this episode, we are going to look at the lasting effects of the communist revolution that was started back in the 19th century, actually took physical place with the Russian Communist Revolution leading to humanitarian disasters such as Holodomor and now, we are going to take a look at another event in history that most probably don't know and that has to do with Mao and his communistic regime trying to advance China, causing the Great Famine. This lead to 45 million deaths(most historians agree on this number) and the implications of this really are still being felt today in some ways. You will also learn about the motivations behind the desire to progress China forward, Mao's support for Stalin and Khrushchev and finally failure to admit his error in the projections of production in the project.

Famine. Starvation. Suffering. Death. These are just some of the ideas explored in this episode. More specifically we will discuss the events surrounding the Ukrainian Genocide during the Communist regime under Joseph Stalin. In this episodes you will learn the background of Stalin himself, but furthermore, the ideas that led him to plan and deliberately execute the Holodomor against the "Kulaks". The implications of this event lead to 4.5 million deaths in Ukraine and 1.5 million deaths in Kazakhstan. Furthermore, after the events that happened in this genocide, what then happened in the world and the response that occurred in this situation leading into the modern era. I consider this to be a powerful episode in that I have never known much of what I am talking about today until about 2 months ago. With that I consider it my duty to share with you all important events that have shaped our understanding of human nature and the drive for power.

In this episode, you are going to learn about the Russian Revolution of 1917. The chain of events in this episode of history not only led to the creation of the Soviet Union, but it also created the first communist state in the world at the time. the rise of communism as a political belief started to gain more traction as the ideas regarding communism as a political ideology. This episode goes in depth on the situation of Imperial Russia before the revolution, the 1905 Revolution and the 1917 Revolution which eventually led to the creation of the Soviet Union with Lenin as its dictatorial head. I really enjoyed doing my research for this episode as learning about this topic surrounding the rise of communism during the 20th century really started to interest me. I hope you all enjoy this episode as much as I did.

This Episode being part 2 of our Ireland series will discuss the remainder of the Irish Major players in the Easter Rising 1916. You will learn about the Easter Rising and its goals. You will also be able to make the decision for yourself if the rebellion was a failure or if it was a paved pathway for future generations to get inspired for the ideologies surrounding Irish Independence. Furthermore what will be discussed are the issues surrounding the Anglo-Irish war, the Irish Civil War, and the implications of the Republic of Ireland was formed. This subject is one of the most interesting subjects I've ever been able to learn about and I hope it gives you insight into the major conflicts that started the catalyst of independence from Britain during the 20th century.

In this episode, we discuss one of my favorite new nations to learn about: Ireland. We go over a comprehensive history that spans over 1200 years that essentially leads to the Easter Rising in 1916 and later the road to Irish Independence in 1923. You will learn about the tension between the Irish Catholics and Protestant Ascendancy. You will also have a greater understanding about how events like the Glorious Revolution, Battle of the Boyne, The Irish Potato Famine and World War I. The question that will be encompassing the thoughts for these next few episodes is: What are the culminating events that made for the motives for Irish Independence? This is the first part of a 2 episode series.

In the final episode of our three part series, we will discuss Napoleon Bonaparte, one of the most prominent figures in history. Whether you know him by the actions he did or not, just by the name, there is a reputation that most people can agree is connected to it. The encompassing idea discussed in this first month of episodes will be: What makes a person a national citizen of the country that they are living in. This episode starts first and foremost off with a recap of all the activities Bonaparte did from his coronation as he becomes emperor and leads into the third coalition. We go through the battles and what made him a powerful emperor. We also go in depth in his campaigns on the Iberian Peninsula and the Russian Invasion of 1812. This then leads to his eventual fall at the end of the 6th and 7th coalitions themselves.

The encompassing idea discussed in this first month of episodes will be: What makes a person a national citizen of the country that they are living in. This episode starts first and foremost off with a guest, Gabriel Musangu, my brother as he actually is the one who taught me a lot about Napoleon and gave me interest in making this little three part series in the podcast. The episode also delves into the details of Napoleon's prominence after the battle at Toulon leading all the way to his self-coronation as emperor in 1804.
