Welcome to the museum of Straight Culture. Heterosexuality is famously at risk of extinction. So to make sure the greatest achievements of the Straights are not lost forever, comedian Joe Sutherland has opened The Hetropolitan Museum of Art and Culture, aka The Het.

Each episode, museum curator Joe invites a brilliant LGBTQIA+ guest to nominate two pieces of straight culture that they want to preserve in the museum. Joe then decides which of artefact will be accepted. And of course, the winning item is honoured with its very own Het Gala reception.

Expect deep dives on some seriously niche stuff with some of the funniest queer guests from the worlds of comedy, TV, and internet culture.

  • Just May: Difficult Friends and Mariah's Nemesis
    Dec 9 2025

Welcome to The Het - the only museum of Straight Culture.

This week, museum curator Joe Sutherland welcomes JUST MAY (Rupaul’s Drag Race UK) to submit their favourite relics of straight culture to be preserved in The Het.

The relics of heterosexual culture up for debate this week are:

    • Friends (the TV show)
    • The Big Light

But due to government cuts to the arts and heritage sector, only one can be saved. Which will make it into The Het’s esteemed collection?

Plus: Drag Brunch and incognito train journeys, reparations for Kathleen Turner and Ellie Goulding.

🎧 Listen, subscribe, and help preserve straight history — before it’s lost forever.

    Just May:

The star of 22 and a half minutes of RuPauls Drag Race UK Season 4, and self proclaimed “Worlds Premier Geri Halliwell Impersonator”.

She’s the bona fide queen of the Drag Brunch (you’ll see here anywhere with a sausage and egg on a Saturday morning), the go to gal for any camp party (staff, Christmas, Zoom…), the killer Queen on the mic from Sink the Pink (RIP)

  • Kemah Bob: Mr Worldwide and Liquid Success
    Dec 2 2025

Welcome to The Het, the only museum of Straight Culture — curated by comedian Joe Sutherland (Roast Battle, Hypothetical).

In this episode, Joe is joined by comedian and multi-hyphenated icon Kemah Bob (The Guilty Feminist, QI, Don’t Hate the Playaz) to preserve another relic of heterosexuality.

This week we discuss the merits of two pinnacles of Straight Culture:

    • Pitbull (The man aka Mr Worldwide, and not the dog breed)
    • Huel

But due to government cuts to the arts and heritage sector, only one can be saved. Which will make it into the esteemed collection of The Hetropolitan Museum of Art and Culture?

Plus: cheerleading, dancing on tables and other fun kooky activities for crazy girls.

  • Jessica Fostekew: Grilled weapons and a mini bloke
    Nov 25 2025

Welcome to The Het, the only museum of Straight Culture — curated by comedian Joe Sutherland (Roast Battle, Hypothetical).

In this episode, Joe is joined by regular co-host of The Guilty Feminist and Crossfit master, Jessica Fostekew.

This week we consider two archetypal artefacts from the endangered world of heterosexuality:

    • Exhibit A: The humble cheese toastie (NOT a grilled cheese)
    • Exhibit B: Her own human son

But due to government cuts to the arts and heritage sector, only one can be saved. Which will make it into the esteemed collection of The Hetropolitan Museum of Art and Culture?

Plus: smelly school trips, the time before plastic, and the joy of getting less pretentious as we get older.
