• 94. If You Only Have 5 Minutes to Warm up—Do This
    Mar 6 2026

Maybe you’ve been wanting to make progress with your voice… but what you’ve been trying isn’t really working.

I’m usually a big advocate for singing right where you are—around the house, in the car, while doing the dishes. That everyday singing really matters. But sometimes it helps to take just five focused minutes and work on something specific.

That small pocket of time can make a surprising difference.

In this episode, I’m sharing the simple warm-up I used recently when I sang at church after not singing for a while. I used this exercise during the week and right before worship band rehearsal.

The exercise is a series of gentle glides on “ee–oo.” It’s simple, gentle, and acts like a vocal reset. I’ve seen it help many reconnect with their voice when things feel stiff, tired, or uncertain.

If you only have five minutes to warm up, start here.

    Blessings,

    Sarah 🌟

  • 93. Where Most Moms Hold Tension—and Two Quick Releases for Singing
    Feb 22 2026

    Hey Tired Mama,

Are you holding tension in your body today?

Do a quick body scan - where do you feel the most tense right now? Jaw? Neck? Shoulders? Belly? Hips?

So many of us are walking around gripping without even realizing it. And that tension doesn’t just affect how we feel—it shows up in our singing. A tight jaw. A locked belly. Raised shoulders. Suddenly your voice feels strained, tired, or stuck.

So where do you even begin to release?

In this episode, I’ll show you two simple starting points that will bring some instant relieve to your well-being and also help your singing.

First, the quick 2-second release I use all the time—yes, even while washing the dishes.

And then I’ll unpack what I focus on first when I have 5-10 minutes to stretch - the shoulders. This can have a positive domino effect of release through the whole body.

    Happy releasing!

    Blessings,

    Sarah

  • 92. Your Voice Isn’t Broken—It’s Just Been Carrying a Lot
    Feb 12 2026

Have you been wondering, Is something wrong with my voice?

Maybe singing feels harder than it used to. Maybe you’ve felt unsure. Fearful of damaging your voice. The fear that you don’t have what it takes to “get it back.”

Friend, what if your voice isn’t broken at all?
What if it’s just been carrying a lot?

Motherhood. Responsibility. Stress. Long seasons of serving your family, and perhaps feeling burnt out. Our voices mirrors, well… us! And sometimes what we call a “vocal problem” is really tension, pressure, or fears that need releasing.

So lets take a step back. Let’s reframe the story. Let’s ask a deeper question: What does God say about your voice? The truth is—you were designed to sing. And he created you with a voice. He loves and WANTS to hear you sing. And the best news is that where He calls you, He also equips you.

Friend, you are not “broken.” Your voice is not broken.

You’ve just been carrying a lot.

Let’s lay it down together. 🌟

    Blessings,

    Sarah 🌟

  • 91. Vocal Fatigue After Kids? Try This Pelvic Floor Alignment Reset
    Jan 15 2026

If your voice feels tired, unsupported, or strained—especially after singing or even just talking for a short time—you’re not alone. Many moms are faithfully doing pelvic floor exercises and still feel disconnected from real vocal support. In this episode, I want to gently shift the focus away from “trying harder” and toward something that often gets overlooked: alignment. When your body is aligned, your pelvic floor and breath can actually work together the way they were designed to.

I’ll walk you through a simple, restful floor position using the wall and a few pillows that helps reset your ribcage, diaphragm, and pelvic floor. This isn’t about effort or force—it’s about giving your body the space it needs so you can finally feel pelvic floor engagement. If you’re a tired mama, postpartum singer, or feeling frustrated with vocal fatigue, this gentle practice can bring more ease, support, and confidence back into your voice in just a few minutes a day.

    Blessings,

    Sarah 🌟

  • 90. How to Sing More This Year as a Mom—Even If You Feel Insecure
    Jan 5 2026

As a mom, it’s easy to feel discouraged about your singing—especially if your voice doesn’t feel the way it used to, you don’t have time to practice, or lessons feel out of reach. If you can relate, then I invite you into a perspective shift that will help you sing more this year. Instead of focusing on insecurities or limitations, you’ll be encouraged to see singing as a tool for joy, service, connection, and passing something meaningful on to others.

Through real-life stories from the holiday season—caroling with great-grandma, singing on road trips, meal-time prayers, and spontaneously joining a church choir—this episode offers examples of an imperfectly perfect plan for singing as a mom. You’ll reflect on four guiding questions that can help reshape your relationship with your voice and open the door to more music-making with your family, your community, and unto the Lord. This is an invitation to stop waiting until the circumstances are perfect and start singing right where you are.

    Blessings,

    Sarah 🌟

  • 89. Why Singing Christmas Carols at Home Matters—and 3 Steps to Keep the Tradition Alive
    Jan 5 2026

Do your kids know the classic Christmas carols you grew up singing? In this episode, we explore why singing Christmas carols at home matters and how easily this rich tradition can slip away if we’re not intentional. From "Silent Night" to "Hark the Herald Angels Sing," these songs carry theology, worship, church history, and family memory. As moms, we can become the gatekeepers of what is sung in our homes—and this conversation invites you to reflect on the value of passing down these Christmas carols.

You’ll learn three simple steps to keep the tradition alive: deciding why Christmas carols matter to you, when to sing them at home, and which types of carols you want your children to grow up knowing. Mama, even if you are feeling insecure about your voice right now —your kids won’t remember what's not perfect. They’ll remember the rich heritage of singing together, and hide in their hearts the songs themselves. This Christmas, you’re invited to reclaim singing carols at home and pass on a legacy your family will carry for years to come.

    Blessings,

    Sarah 🌟
