The diagnosis that is given to a patient is often made on a subjective basis, encompassing features of the headache such as timing and associated symptoms. Dr. Lowenstein discusses the similarities in causes of headaches, which can often be successfully treated with nerve decompression surgery regardless of the diagnosis.
