Acerca de esta escucha
Alcatraz, known by Spanish explorers as "La Isla de los Alcatraces,” Island of the Pelicans, was a maximum-security federal prison in 1934. Famously known as "The Rock,” Alcatraz is located on an isolated island 1.5 miles from San Francisco. The harsh environment made this prison *nearly* impossible to escape and was known for housing the era’s most violent inmates. The prison closed in March 1963 citing extensive structural damage and reopened to the public in 1973 as part of the Golden Gate National Recreation Area.
It is not surprising that paranormal enthusiasts and skeptics alike believe Alcatraz is home to many restless spirits. Those who were booked into prison for a term of court, only to become trapped, forced to serve eternity in cellblock D.
