We’re grimacing our way back into the weird this week with a lesser-known Scottish freak: the Gurning Man of Glasgow.
Described as a bald, grinning figure who shows up in bedrooms, back lanes, and the occasional low-budget AI fever dream, this creepy entity plagued Glasgow in the late ’70s and early ’80s. Is he a ghost? A cryptid? A hallucination brought on by too much Irn-Bru and late-night Buckfast? We don’t know—but we’re here to butcher Scottish accents while trying to find out.
Along the way, we get derailed by AI hallucinations, wildly inappropriate impressions, and an earnest attempt to figure out if “gurning” is a regional dance move or just something that happens when your face cramps up from fear.
If you’re into paranormal encounters, cryptids, urban legends, haunted bedrooms, and questionable Scottish impressions, this one’s for you.
