The massive tune, Let’s groove Tonight was penned by Wayne Vaughn, Maurice White, and Emotions founding member, and is his wife, Wanda Vaughn and was the tune that has left his impact on radio stations all over the world. Drummer to the stars, Jay Williams sits down with Terri after their DC performance for a quick chat about his successful career as one of the most sought after drummers in the game, working with artist like Stephanie Mills, Dave Koz, Gerald Albright, and of course currently on tour with Ms. Chaka Khan, in case you didn't catch Jay on the Tiny Desk series with Ms. Khan. The Senegalese and German born vocalist, musicians, and songwriters, Sophie, Jazz, and Amina of the band Black Buddafly met Terri early on in their late teens and early twenties working and living in Hamburg. Terri met Amina first during a studio session and was blown away by Amina’s vocal quality and remembers saying you are special and i hope the world gets to hear it. Well fast forward a few years, and Terri heard a familiar voice on an Urban Baltimore radio station, while sitting waiting her son's haircut, and she told the whole shop, I think I know that voice, but half joking. Well it was true. From their music being placed in the Fast and Furious major motion picture to singing for LA Reid to get their deal they had done what no other German girlband had attempted and accomplished, broke into the R&B music scene.

With more than 25 years touring as a member of the Weather Girls and the person who inherited the famous brand, Dynelle Rhodes, daughter of original member Izora Rhodes, comes to the show to talk about her journey as the child of the iconic founding member of the band and taking over after the loss of her mother. She talks the wild life inside studio 54 as a teenager, and meeting a who's who in the music biz. Dynelle also discusses her new funk record and the 20 year friendship with Terri Green.

Long Island native, Anthony Freeman, joins the show and discusses the journey as both major label and indie artist. Anthony reflects on his rap and singing career, and growing up in Long Island with his childhood buddies, the members of DE LA SOUL, the passing of Dave and how they remain connected.
