  • #81 Your Worth Never Changed: A Love Letter to Thrivers + A New Toolkit for You
    Nov 24 2025

When cancer changes your story, who gets to tell the truth about who you are?

In this special episode, Caitlan shares the heart behind her brand-new Thrivers Affirmation Toolkit — a faith-filled resource created to help metastatic breast cancer Thrivers reclaim their worth, respond to harmful thoughts, and anchor their hearts in the unchanging love of God.

If you’re not a Thriver — maybe you’re a survivor, a caregiver, or someone walking through a completely different kind of hardship — there's room for you here, too.

The toolkit was written with Thrivers in mind, but the Scriptures and affirmations inside it speak to anyone who needs to remember they are God’s beloved, even in an unexpected story.

This episode is a grounding breath of hope and an invitation to be held and deeply reminded of who you are. Listen in, and remember: you are still good, even here. 🌸

  • #80 The Healing Power of Your Story: April Stearns of Wildfire Magazine
    Nov 17 2025

What if the story you’re living could become a source of healing- not just for you, but for others too? In this episode, we talk with April Stearns, writer and editor of Wildfire Magazine, to talk about the transformative power of storytelling, amplifying MBC voices, and how we can contribute to the healing our world needs!

    Meet April:

April Stearns was diagnosed at 35 years old with Stage 3 breast cancer that she found while breastfeeding her daughter. Four years later, while struggling to “go back to normal” and find other young(er) people in similar circumstances, April launched Wildfire Magazine. Now she enjoys not only publishing the stories of those “too young for breast cancer,” she also finds pleasure in helping others heal through learning to write and share their stories.

Wildfire provides a bi-monthly narrative magazine, weekly podcast, and small-group writing workshops for women diagnosed under the age of 50. Wildfire believes in the healing power of storytelling, turning a traumatic cancer experience into an empowering one! Learn more at wildfirecommunity.org.
