  • How To Stop Wasting Time

    These are the notes I wrote before recording this podcast today. I am a LOT more concise in writing than I am when I’m speaking. 🤣

    Either way, this is good info if you want to know how to stop wasting time, but just so you know… in the podcast, I tell funny stories, too!

    How To Stop Wasting Time

    The problem: you have a Big Goal, and you know what you need to be doing to get it, but every day you find yourself not doing what it takes. You’re wasting time on menial tasks that you don’t even care about, or you’re playing games on your phone for hours when you meant to be doing other things.

    The solution you’ve been trying that doesn’t work: You’re buying planners and calendars, you watch videos about productivity, you buy courses to teach you about time blocking, you vow to be more disciplined, you set timers on your watch, you block out your Google calendar, you make to-do lists, you use to-do apps, you hire an accountability coach.

    These are all short-term fixes, and not long-term solutions. Inevitably, you fall back into your old habits, because none of them address what’s really going on.

    What’s really going on: You haven’t decided what you want to be doing with your time, you have mindset blocks about your intended tasks, and/or you don’t see yourself as a person who can have your goal.

    The real solution: Daily 3™ journaling, of course.

    How it works: Future Self journaling helps you set real intentions and promises, rather than a vague idea of what you “should” be doing. Metacognitive journaling uncovers and releases the mindset blocks you have around the actual tasks. And Success journaling helps you step into the identity of being a person who has your goal.

  • How I Start My Day For Success

    “The thing that sets you up for success in your day is not just using your brain, but paying attention to your body, paying attention to your feelings.”

    Question: do you have a daily routine that’s taking you directly to your goal? I didn’t used to. In fact, my old routine used to set me up for a day of disappointment instead of success. And I don’t know about you, but I prefer success. So I changed my morning routine, and now I start my day knowing that I’ll get everything done that I ask myself to do.

    In this episode, I’m sharing what I do every morning, how I do it, and (the most important part) how I know it’s working.

    This conversation isn’t about productivity for the sake of productivity. It’s about creating self trust and showing up in the world the way you truly want to, instead of making yourself do the things you think you have to.

    My daily routine is softer, kinder, and not coincidentally, I’m more productive now than I was all those years I was trying to get everything done. If you’re looking for less hustle and more success, this episode is for you.
