March 1, 2026: Michigan State traveled to Bloomington and beat a reeling Indiana Hoosier team, 77-64. It was a game in which Indiana never led. Jaxon Kohler led the way getting off to a blistering start along with Kur Teng from behind the arc as the Spartans led 45-37 at the break.

From there, MSU took it to the Hoosiers and led by about 10 most of the second half. Aside from 21 from Kohler and 18 from Teng, Jeremy Fears added 21 along with 9 assists and 4 rebounds to send the Spartans back to East Lansing with a four game winning streak. Next up are the Scarlet Knights from Rutgers Thursday on Senior night.

February 28, 2026: Michigan State heads south to Bloomington to go for a sweep over the state of Indiana after a huge upset win at Mackey over the Boilermakers. Although the Big Ten race is officially over, the Spartans are still playing to secure a triple bye in the Big Ten Tournament and a 3 or maybe 2 seed in the NCAA tournament.

In the first matchup between these teams in East Lansing, MSU handily dispatched the Hoosiers whom they overwhelmed with their physicality. It was the first game that Jaxon Kohler struggled from behind the 3 point arc and he hasn’t really returned to that early to mid season form shooting. Can he get back on track and make this Spartan team even more dangerous? Can Michigan State come out with energy after that draining emotional win over Purdue?

February 27, 2026: 18 days until Selection Sunday and things are just as murky as always around the bubble. But even at the tippy top we’ve had some movement and there is likely even more coming over the next two weeks.
