The Everyday Veteran Podcast: Nikki Wilkinson

In today’s episode, I sit down with Marine Corps Spouse Nikki Wilkinson. Nikki has been a military spouse for about 6 years, and together with her husband Mike for a total of 9 years. Nikki and Mike are an Active Duty family currently stationed aboard Marine Corps Base, Camp Pendleton, California. Nikki currently works at MiraCosta College in the Veterans Services Department. In her current role, Nikki can assist a lot of active duty, veteran, and transitioning military members and their spouses/family members in pursuing their educational goals (specifically using VA Education benefits). Prior to being stationed at Camp Pendleton, Nikki and Mike spent 3 years in Okinawa, Japan, where she was able to do a lot of traveling around Asia. Soon, Nikki plans on going to nursing school and is able to do so with the help of Mike’s GI Bill, which was gifted to her. Nikki loves being a military spouse and being able to support Mike while he serves our county.
