  • Paid to Speak with Jaimie Abbott
    Mar 31 2026
What if speaking was not just something you did on the side, but a genuine income stream in your business? In this episode, I’m joined by the wonderful Jaimie Abbott, speaker, MC and founder of Paid to Speak. Jaimie helps business owners, entrepreneurs and experts become highly paid speakers, and in this conversation we dive into what it really means to charge properly, back yourself and treat speaking like the valuable business asset it is. We talk about why so many people, especially women, undervalue themselves when it comes to speaking, what event organisers are really paying for, and why being on stage is never just “one hour of work.” We also explore the difference between keynote speaking and MCing, how speaking can open up travel and business opportunities around the world, and why understanding your own energy is so important if you want to do this sustainably. This is a great episode for speakers, aspiring speakers, business owners, retreat hosts and anyone who knows they have something valuable to say but needs the confidence to charge for it.

  • Lessons from recording an audiobook
    Mar 18 2026
How do you record an audiobook? In this behind-the-scenes episode, I’m sharing the real experience of recording not one, but two audiobooks, and the lessons that came with it. From navigating grief and timing, to investing $6,000 per book, to learning how different reading is from speaking a story out loud … this journey stretched me in ways I didn’t expect. You’ll hear: - What it actually takes to record an audiobook - Why energy, timing and support matter more than you think - The surprising financial realities (and long-term rewards) - How trust, focus and doing one thing well changed everything I also share the emotional experience of bringing A Life of Magic, my 103 year old cousin Bill’s story, to life! And why audio was such an important medium for this book. If you’re thinking about writing a book, recording an audiobook, or simply want a peek behind the curtain of creative work… this one’s for you. 🎧 Listen now and step behind the mic with me.

  • India inspires and reconnects
    Mar 12 2026
Namaste - this episode is LIVE from Jodhpur in Rajasthan, India, where ive been travelling for 9 days through one of the most colourful and culturally rich regions in the world. From Udaipur’s lake palaces to the breathtaking stepwell dinner at Rawla Narlai, I’m sharing reflections from this trip and why India continues to inspire me every single time I visit. This trip has brought together so many parts of my world. I’ve been travelling with a client/ friend, exploring retreat venues, and preparing to speak at the MRO South Asia conference and XPO 2026 in Delhi. But this episode isn’t just about travel. It’s about intentionally creating space for rest, inspiration and self-care in a busy life. In this episode I share: • Why I keep coming back to India (this is my 18th visit) • How travel helps refill my creative and emotional cup • The support systems that allow me to harmonise family, business and travel • Why India is an incredible destination for wellness retreats • A simple self-care ritual I recommend for every trip (and everyday life) If you’ve ever wondered how I make business, travel and family work, this episode is a little behind-the-scenes reflection. And most importantly, a reminder that you don’t have to travel across the world to refill your cup, sometimes the smallest act of self-care can help you reconnect to yourself.
