In this week’s episode of Breen Time, Sabrina explores a question many of us never stop to ask: Am I busy… or am I productive?
From endless to-do lists to days filled with meetings and micro-tasks, it’s easy to feel like you’re constantly “on” - but not actually moving forward. In this episode, Sabrina breaks down the real difference between being busy and being genuinely productive, why your most important work often gets pushed aside, and how to reclaim the focus that drives meaningful progress.
You’ll also hear examples of what busyness looks like in everyday life, how productivity really shows up in practice, and why the shift between the two can dramatically change your sense of control, clarity and success.
You’ll learn:
- The core difference between busyness and productivity
- How busyness quietly steals your time, energy and progress
- Why multitasking and constant activity reduce effectiveness
- What truly productive days look like
- Three practical steps to reclaim focus and move toward your goals
This week’s exercise: The Productivity Audit
Reflect on your last day - or your last week - and ask yourself:
1) How much of my time was spent moving me toward my goals?
Give yourself a rough percentage.
2) What’s stealing my productivity?
Distractions? Other people’s priorities? Lack of support? Time management? Multitasking?
3) Which change can I make this week?
Examples:
- Prioritise your top 3 tasks
- Block focused “power hours”
- Delegate or eliminate low-value tasks
Start small, but start intentionally.
