After a narrow escape from the Apothecary, the Circle of Fragmented Glass returns to the chapter house, only to find themselves tangled in an even messier situation. Three months pass as the Circle move about Cascadia, each following their own trail of clues about the Red Hand, the Unabridged, and the missing dog tags. But an unexpected event draws them back together… just as the annual Cascadian Maker's Expo rolls into town.
