  • 250: Matthew Bousson - No Nonsense Longevity & Performance (Basics Crush Trends)
    Feb 2 2026

Matthew Bousson (@boussy.vision) is BACK for episode 250 (!!!) of the podcast. What a journey. Since his last appearance he’s moved out of the city and into the Rocky Mountains and completely transformed his body yet again.

In this episode we go over tried and true methods of health, performance and longevity. We bust several common myths and flawed thought patterns and bring everything back to the basics. Back to what we discussed the first time we did this in episode 10, and way back to before either of us ever did a podcast.

All of the basic stuff works, works really well, and works forever. You can add in some fancy stuff maybe, but they literally do not matter and will not move the needle even a little bit if the basics aren’t in check.

That’s what this episode is about, and that’s what the entire last 250 episodes have been about.

Share it with your friends, because this is needed now more than ever.

Be sure to follow Matt on IG to keep up with all things outdoors and real living.

  • 249: Workouts, Diets, Supplements & Trends to Leave Behind in 2026
    Dec 22 2025

Every year we should be getting better, right? Oftentimes that means letting go of what hasn’t been working. We should be trying new things, find new angles or new perspectives or try new approaches… but that doesn’t mean they will always work.

I’ve come up with a list of things that are holding people back - in this past year for sure but in many years before this. Ranging from workouts and exercises, to nutrition strategies, supplements, mindset and overall approaches to fitness, and the way we communicate.

Sometimes the easiest way forward is just removing the things that are holding you back. I do provide alternatives and suggestions for all of the things in this list of course as well.

This was fun, hope I didn’t speak too fast! Happy New Year, enjoy!

  • 248: Proper Gym Etiquette to Make Gyms Great Again
    Dec 15 2025

Common sense and just being a good person will carry you a long way when it comes to knowing how to act and follow proper etiquette and protocol in any environment. But sometimes, there are small things that are less intuitive, that are actually important. And probably more common, is that the people who are “supposed” to know how to act, purposely act poorly, leading newcomers to think that that’s correct.

This is extremely common in gyms today, and frankly, it makes them kind of suck.

The environment is not welcoming to newcomers, unfamiliar to those who have been around 10+ years, and straight up just doesn’t function well. And poor function plus inefficiencies and rude people giving off bad vibes just legitimately ruins gains - and that’s where I draw the line.

This episode probably won’t be the most popular and I understand, however, it should be. There are enough gains and enough weights and machines in the gym for everyone to get after it all together. And we all do better when we support each other and train hard together.

That isn’t even feel-good nonsense. When you feel good you train better. And when you train better you improve more. It’s very simple.

So share this episode with everyone you know. Let’s bring back old school proper etiquette and decency to gyms and make gyms great again. And let’s get the gains going with it.
