The Dangers of Going to Mars Without Solving Our Hearts Problems

  • Resumen

  • Hello and welcome to Biblia Maishani Mwetu. I'm Kelvin, and I’m glad you’re here with me. Today, we’re diving deep into a subject that blends science, technology, and the human heart. We’re talking about the mission to colonize Mars. But even more importantly, we’ll ask a serious question: What good is a new world if we carry the same old hatred into it? There’s a growing fascination with the Red Planet. Tech billionaires are launching rockets, making promises of settlements, and painting Mars as humanity’s next home. It’s a dream of escaping Earth’s problems, a hope for a second chance at civilization. But we must be honest: Mars won’t fix what’s broken in us. Throughout history, humans have tried to escape problems through migration. Cain fled east after killing his brother. At Babel, people reached for the heavens to make a name for themselves. But the sin in their hearts followed them wherever they went. Today, the world is filled with deep division. Racism, greed, tribalism, wars, and hatred in so many forms. We carry jealousy in our hearts. We divide ourselves by class, race, language, and background. So what would happen if we carried all this to Mars? We’ll take our creativity, yes. Our brilliant technologies, yes. But we’ll also take our pride. Our ego. Our lust for power. Our hate. We may build smarter cities, but they will be filled with the same broken people. The Bible in James chapter four asks, "What causes fights and quarrels among you? Don’t they come from your desires that battle within you?" That’s the heart of the issue. This is not a Mars problem. It’s a heart problem. Even in Genesis, long before any complex civilization, God saw that every inclination of the human heart was evil continually. That was before any spaceship, before any nation. Sin didn’t wait for technology—it came with humanity. And here’s what we must realize: God is not impressed by how far we can travel into space. He is moved when we allow Him to transform our hearts. The Psalmist prayed, “Create in me a clean heart, O God.” That’s the journey that matters most. That’s the real mission .........
