    Robert Picardo joins Connor Trinneer and Dominic Keating for a wide-ranging conversation, with particular emphasis on his latest return as The Doctor in Starfleet Academy. He now serves as Chief Medical Officer on the USS Athena, centuries older, more experienced, and still evolving in unexpected ways. Bob reflects on stepping back into the role at this stage of his career, what has changed, what hasn’t, and how the character fits into a very different era of Star Trek.

    This conversation was recorded just one day after the announcement that Starfleet Academy will conclude with its second season, so we delve into Bob’s immediate reaction to the news, including his knowledge on why the show is ending. We speak about his contributions to the show, including episode ideas that sadly will never get to air. Along the way, he and Connor and Dominic revisit The Doctor on Voyager, and how his legacy carries forward into this final chapter.
