  • AI on Humanity, Life & Everything
    Sep 7 2026
What does artificial intelligence really think about humanity? We spend a lot of time asking what AI can do for us. In this episode of The Creative Intervention Podcast, Keith Smith turns the question around and asks artificial intelligence to take a long, hard look at us. Meet Miss. She has no body, no childhood, no feelings and, she insists, no particular desire to take over the world. But she does have access to an extraordinary body of human knowledge, and Keith has questions. What does AI make of the human race? Are we actually intelligent? What separates human creativity from artificial intelligence? Can AI experience intuition, ambition or emotion? Why are humans so easily manipulated? Does power inevitably corrupt? What gives AI hope for humanity? And, given our record so far, are human beings likely to survive another 100, 1,000 or even 10,000 years? There are also rather more important matters to settle, including whether AI supports Manchester City, why humans knowingly do things that are bad for them, and whether artificial intelligence has any business judging Keith's fondness for Liquorice Allsorts. Eventually, Miss is asked to produce the ultimate report card for humanity, grading us on intelligence, creativity, adaptability, wisdom, self-awareness, long-term planning, humour and our remarkable ability to waste time arguing about things that don't matter. The results are... mixed. At a time when generative AI and artificial intelligence are rapidly changing creativity, business, employment, education and everyday life, this is a rather different conversation about the future of AI. Not what can AI do? But what might AI tell us about ourselves? Funny, occasionally unsettling and unexpectedly optimistic, AI on Humanity: Life & Everything is an experiment in turning the machine around and asking it to examine its makers. And, apparently, we're being graded on potential. The Creative Intervention Podcast explores creativity, advertising, culture, technology, artificial intelligence and the ideas changing the way we work and live.
