  • Urantia Paper 14—The Central and Divine Universe—§4. Creatures of the Central Universe
    Apr 27 2025
On this episode of The Cosmic Citizen, we continued our study of Urantia Paper 14. The Central and Divine Universe, with a reading of Section 4. Creatures of the Central Universe.

This section describes the diverse forms of life in Havona, the perfect and eternal central universe. It teaches that seven basic types of beings exist there.

Unlike life on the evolutionary worlds, decay and death do not exist in Havona. The natives of Havona were created by the Paradise Trinity. Their existence transcends human concepts of time and space, reflecting the eternal nature of the Paradise-Havona system.

Havona natives participate in the physical and spiritual economy of the divine realm. While they serve as guides and ministers to beings ascending from the superuniverses or descending from Paradise, their own existence holds intrinsic significance beyond these interactions. Their worship and devotion fulfill the ideals of divine beauty and truth, mirroring God’s will by their very nature.

The central universe is teeming with intelligent lifeforms seeking higher realizations of divinity, ultimate truth, and absolute reality.

  • Special Easter Edition: Urantia Paper 188—The Time of the Tomb—§4. & 5. The Meaning and Lessons of the Cross
    Apr 20 2025
In this episode we were going to continue exploring Paper 14, The Central and Divine Universe, with a discussion of Section 4. Creatures of the Central Universe. However, once we started this episode, upon reflection of the Easter holiday, it was suggested that we read instead the two sections from Urantia Paper 188, from The Life and Teachings of Jesus. So that is what we did. We will pick up our study of Paper 14 on our next episode.

Here is a brief synopsis of what we studied:

Section 4: Lessons from the Cross
This section discusses the profound spiritual lessons derived from Jesus' crucifixion. It emphasizes the significance of Jesus' unwavering faith and trust in God's will. The narrative underscores the importance of understanding the deeper spiritual meanings behind the crucifixion, rather than focusing solely on the physical aspects of Jesus' suffering.

Section 5: The Spirit of the Resurrection
This section explores the spiritual implications of Jesus' resurrection. It describes how the resurrection symbolizes the triumph of spiritual values over physical death. The resurrection is portrayed as a powerful demonstration of the eternal nature of spiritual truth and the victory of divine love.

These sections offer profound insights into the spiritual significance of Jesus' crucifixion and resurrection, encouraging readers to contemplate the deeper meanings and lessons embedded in these pivotal events.

Simply put, the conversation that we had about these sections was sublime.

Urantia Paper 14—The Central and Divine Universe—§3. The Havona Worlds

On this episode of The Cosmic Citizen, we continue exploring Urantia Paper 14, The Central and Divine Universe, with a reading of Section 3. The Havona Worlds.

This section delves into the intricate organization and purpose of the billion spheres that constitute Havona. These worlds are arranged in seven concentric circuits, each with distinct characteristics, including variations in size, composition, and function.

Each circuit is pervaded by a specialized representation of the Infinite Spirit, known as the Seven Spirits of the Circuits, which coordinate celestial affairs within their respective domains.

The Havona worlds are described as being of unimaginable beauty and grandeur, serving as a model of divine perfection for the evolutionary universes. These worlds are not evolutionary but are instead created as part of the eternal and perfect central universe.

The inhabitants of Havona are spiritually advanced beings who are perfectly attuned to the divine energies and realities of their environment.

This section emphasizes the exquisite balance, harmony, and purpose of these worlds, which serve as a training ground for all ascending beings and a source of inspiration for the Creator Sons in their work throughout the universes.
