Angela Coombs Mumuni, M.D., is a board-certified psychiatrist and Associate Medical Director for Alameda County Behavioral Health Department where she works both clinically in East Oakland, CA as well as serves as administrator supporting psychiatric providers, system-wide psychiatric quality improvement and workforce development. She completed her adult psychiatry residency training at Columbia University/New York-Presbyterian Hospital, where she also served as Chief

Resident before going on to complete Columbia’s Public Psychiatry Fellowship. She now serves as Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Stanford University School of Medicine. Thus far her career spans early psychosis services, mental health inequities facing Black American populations and other minoritized groups as well as public-sector system transformation. Dr. Adjoa Smalls-Mantey is a physician-scientist, writer, medical media consultant, and organizational leader. She conducted HIV viral immunology research and completed her doctoral degree at the University of Oxford. She later earned her medical degree from Columbia University and completed her psychiatry residency at The Mount Sinai Hospital where she served as chief resident. Afterwards, she completed her public psychiatry fellowship at Columbia University, working on mental health policy at the New York State Office of Mental Health. Dr. Smalls-Mantey is also certified in lifestyle medicine. She currently practices emergency psychiatry in New York City and is Assistant Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at Columbia University Irving Medical Center. She is president of the New York County Psychiatric Society. Within the American Psychiatric Association she has served on the Presidential Work Group for Lifestyle Psychiatry and is a member of the Council for Communications. Dr. Smalls-Mantey speaks and writes on mental illness, wellness, and public health and seeks to empower people to make informed decisions about their health. Her media consulting work includes several on-air appearances for ABC News, Fox 5 DC; podcasts, radio interviews, writing for ABC News Medical Unit, and serving on the Medical Advisory Board for VeryWell. Last year she was appointed by HHS Secretary Xavier Becerra to the Interdepartmental Serious Mental Illness Coordinating Committee. Dr. Smalls-Mantey is an active member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc, and is also the co-author of the award-winning children’s book Anjali the Brave: All about Vaccines. Dr. Sosunmolu Shoyinka is an award-winning psychiatrist, speaker and author, trained at Yale, Columbia, and NYU. Dr Shoyinka is Triple Board certified and holds an MBA from the Kelley School of Business. He is a Clinical Associate Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Pennsylvania and a Fellow of the Philadelphia College of Physicians. He serves on the Board of the American Association for Community Psychiatry. Dr Shoyinka led the redesign of Philadelphia’s crisis system. This effort resulted in Philadelphia’s recognition by the Biden Administration as a model city for 988 implementation. Dr Shoyinka is the co-creator of the SMART Tool, which facilitates self-directed antiracism work within organizations. Dr Shoyinka is also co-creator of a patent-pending risk-stratification analytic software that facilitates population addiction treatment. Dr Shoyinka’s leadership expertise has been nationally recognized. In May 2022, he received a Special Presidential Commendation from the American Psychiatric Association. He has been recognized as Black Leader shaping the Future of Psychiatry and is a regular guest speaker at state and national conferences. Dr Shoyinka is married to Dr. Kemi Shoyinka. They live in the Greater Philadelphia area and are blessed with 3 wonderful children: Nimi, Nife and Nisimi.

Rob Gadomski, DO is the Deputy Medical Director of Psychiatric Services at Project Renewal, Inc and a graduate of the Columbia Public Psychiatry Fellowship. He works primarily with homeless and marginalized individuals in the New York City area. He went to the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine for medical school and completed his psychiatry residency training at Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia before moving to NYC, where he gathered an interest in working with homeless populations and individuals interacting with the criminal legal system.
