As believers, the Word of God (doctrine) is constantly presented to us, yet we often receive and respond to it in ways that hinder us from experiencing its promise. Do we esteem doctrine as God’s personal visitation to us or as a mere casual encounter with truth? The way we value and respond to doctrine ultimately determines the depth of its work and impact in our lives.

In this message titled “The Coming of the Lord”, Elder Ato Tabbicca explores our relationship with doctrine and its role in preparing us for the Lord’s coming. He clarifies the true meaning of the Israelites’ pilgrimage feasts, establishing that the coming of the Lord is an inward experience. He explains the purpose of doctrine as both prophet and trainer, warning against disregarding it when presented with it. Highlighting why we often perceive only the outward knowledge of doctrine thereby missing its Spirit, he reveals the promise of doctrine and how it works in us when diligently followed. Finally, he emphasises the need to highly esteem and obey doctrine, urging all to follow it wholeheartedly to experience the depths of its sure promise.

May this message empower you to recognize the need to esteem and obey doctrine, preparing you for an inward experience of the Lord as He comes to you in His Word.
