The Church in Smyrna: Faithful Under Fire Revelation 2: 8-11

Jesus writes to the suffering church in Smyrna (Rev 2:8–11): “I know your tribulation, poverty, and slander—but you are rich.” Facing prison and death, they’re urged to “be faithful until death” for the crown of life. Like myrrh—fragrant only when crushed—their trials release eternal glory. Christ, the First and Last who died and rose, promises no second death for overcomers.
