In Ruth 4, the story of Naomi’s bitterness and Ruth’s bold faith culminates at the city gate, where Boaz publicly redeems Ruth and restores a broken family line. Through the legal proceedings and the birth of Obed, we behold the faithfulness of God in raising up a kinsman-redeemer; ultimately pointing us to Christ, who secures our redemption and advances His covenant promises from Bethlehem to the throne of David.

In this sermon on Ruth 3, Del Christman explores the rich typology of the kinsman-redeemer, seeing in Boaz a shadow of Christ; our true and better Redeemer; who willingly spreads His garment over His bride to secure her rest and redemption. Through Naomi’s wise instruction and Ruth’s humble appeal, we behold the gospel pattern: a needy sinner guided to seek refuge under covenant mercy, finding in Christ the fulfillment of every promise.

In Ruth 1–2, we trace the Lord’s hidden providence through famine, loss, and bitter return, watching Him quietly prepare the stage for redemption. From Ruth’s covenant loyalty to Boaz’s gracious kindness in the field, we begin to see the early rays of hope that anticipate the greater Redeemer to come.

An exegetical sermon on John 8:31-59. We will dig into all that means, especially with his declaration coming at the last day of the Feast of Booths. Just as God was in the midst of Israel in the desert, casting light on his people from His pillar of Fire, so Jesus is the light sent from God amidst His people!

An exegetical sermon on John 7:25-52. Today, we continue looking at the conversation between "The Jews", "The People", and Jesus at the feast of booths. The people are divided and confused, the Jews continue to seek Jesus arrest, and Jesus continues to speak the truth about who He is, and why He has come. The boldness of his claims during this feast must not be missed!

An exegetical sermon on John 7:1-24. In today's text we see Jesus at the feast of booths, being revealed at the middle of the feast in the Temple, the center of the feast, showing himself to be the very substance the feast was joyfully pointing forward to.
