We discuss how he started out learning hotel management in Vietnam, how his father gave him his first camera, and how he leveraged that and his hotel job to jumpstart his career. From there, he fell in love with making videos and has been working in the industry ever since. Throughout the episode, Phong discusses his approach to music videos, his ultra-real cinematography style, the most important role of a cinematographer on set, being the best at your job, caring about your crew, how he likes to work with directors, and so much more.
