In Episode 9 of The BoM Podcast, we dive into Aryan Khan’s highly anticipated Netflix directorial debut, The Ba***ds of Bollywood**, and briefly share our thoughts on this week’s release, Jolly LLB 3.

⚖️ First up, Jolly LLB 3. With Akshay Kumar and Arshad Warsi returning to the courtroom alongside Saurabh Shukla, Huma Qureshi, and Amrita Rao, does the film still capture the charm and social commentary that made the franchise a hit?

🎬 Then we shift focus to The Ba***ds of Bollywood. Starring Bobby Deol, Laksh, Raghav Juyal, Anya Singh, and Saher Bamba, the show also features a long list of cameos from Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Aamir Khan, Emraan Hashmi, and many more. We break down the story, performances, Aryan Khan’s vision as a director, and whether this Netflix debut lives up to its massive hype.

Join us as we give our honest take on two very different Bollywood projects — one continuing a beloved courtroom franchise, and the other attempting to redefine Bollywood storytelling for a new generation.

    Send us a text

In this episode of The BoM Podcast, we revisit one of Bollywood’s most iconic family dramas, Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, alongside our special guest and close friend Raj Dhamal, a fellow cinephile who handpicked this film for our revisit.

We explore what K3G meant to audiences when it released in 2001 — and how its impact differed for NRIs like Aishan, who grew up connecting to Indian culture through films abroad, versus Indians raised in India like Bhumi and Raj, who experienced its melodrama and grandeur first-hand.

From Karan Johar’s lavish sets, unforgettable music, and iconic performances by Amitabh Bachchan, Jaya Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol, Hrithik Roshan, and Kareena Kapoor (as the unforgettable Poo), to the film’s emotional core — “It’s all about loving your parents” — we break down whether the movie still holds up two decades later.

✨ Join us as we debate the legacy of K3G, the memes, the nostalgia, and whether it deserves its cult-classic status in today’s Bollywood landscape.

  • Episode 7 - Param Sundari (2025) & Baaghi 4 (2025)
    Sep 10 2025

    Send us a text

In Episode 7 of The BoM Podcast, we review two of Bollywood’s latest releases – Param Sundari and Baaghi 4.

✨ First up, Param Sundari starring Siddharth Malhotra and Janhvi Kapoor. While it set out to be a fresh rom-com, the film feels like a recycled mix of Chennai Express, 2 States, and even DDLJ—without the same magic.

🔥 Then, we move to Baaghi 4 – the dreaded fourth installment of an already stretched franchise. With Tiger Shroff’s action, Sanjay Dutt as the villain, Harnaaz Kaur Sandhu’s debut, and Sonam Bajwa & Shreyas Talpade in wasted roles, the film had potential but ended up as another forgettable sequel.

Join us as we break down what went wrong, how Bollywood rom-coms and franchises keep repeating old formulas, and what needs to change.

    • NTR Jr.’s highly anticipated Hindi debut and how his pan-Indian appeal reshapes the film’s dynamic 🌍
    • Kiara Advani’s role – was it impactful or just another thankless Bollywood heroine part? 🤔
    • The film’s underwhelming box office run and what it could mean for the future (or downfall) of YRF’s ambitious Spy Universe 🎬
