A lover of both spicy romances and learning in all forms, UK-based author and editor Elouise East joins me this week in the Blanket Fort. She's proud of her ability to create emotionally complex characters from all walks of life, and puts a lot of energy into making them real and relatable before handing them the keys to the plot and letting them drive!

In this week's very special ADHD episode of the Blanket Fort, I'm joined by fellow fannish nerd Charlie Novak. Charlie is a dog parent, a word wrangler, and a proud nerd. They live in England with their husband, and she loves fluffy romance, steamy sexy scenes and is a firm believer in happy ever afters!

We had so much fun talk about being bookish kids, but also the sheer joy in getting to embrace the things we love (including TV shows, role playing games, and fan fiction) as adults. Also the difference between writing fanfic and original fiction. And there were definitely a lot of conversational side quests, too. It's a neurospicy thing.

This episode of the Blanket Fort features author, competitive ballroom dancer, and fellow English nerd Drea Roman! We had a blast geeking out about story crafting, where we find our inspirations, and the agony of being slow writers. Dog dad and secret cabaret performer, Shane Morton has published over 30 books including, but not limited to, his Point Pleasant holiday series and his dangerously delightful drag queen detective books

This week, despite my internet connection working against us when we met up, I've got mpreg author Trisha Linde in the Blanket Fort. Trisha Linde spends all her time immersed in books, both reading and writing, mainly because she lives where it's too cold to do anything else, and what better way to keep warm than with a hot book. The first time she read mpreg, it was love at first sight, and there's no turning back now.

We had a blast hanging out, talking about writing, why fairytales are NOT for kids, and the delicate balance of keeping up productivity while trying to remember to give ourselves grace. We also had a random detour into fandom, being a fangirl, and how I accidentally discovered smutty slash fanfic (Joe/Methos and Qui-Gon/Obi-Wan FOREVER, yo).
