He is a Director, Editor and all round creative grafter who also volunteers to work with a children's mental health charity Place2Be.

  • Ep.5 Theatre & Opera Set and Costume Designer

    In this episode I meet Max Johns he is a set and costume designer for theatre and opera. Max trained at Bristol Old Vic Theatre School and has an MA in Theatre Design and a BA in Drama and German. Max was the recipient of a BBC Performing Arts Fellowship Award in 2015. Max and I talk about the latest production he is working on as well as  how he decided to focus on set and costume design.


    Recent work in the UK has included productions at the Young Vic, Almeida, RSC, National Theatre Scotland, Royal Lyceum Edinburgh, Birmingham Rep, the Bush, Kiln, Leeds Playhouse, Royal Festival Hall, V&A Museum, The Yard, Bristol Old Vic, Tobacco Factory Theatres, The Orange Tree and Theatre Royal Bath.
