  • ALERT: Auburn Crushes Ball State – Can This Defense Carry the Season? PART 1 I Auburn Football Podcast
    Sep 8 2025
Auburn fans got exactly what they wanted on defense but left the stadium still asking questions about the offense. Inside Jordan-Hare Stadium, the Tigers dominated Ball State in a 42-3 blowout, and yet the conversation after the game had less to do with the win and more to do with how the offense looked. The Auburn defense, led by DJ Durkin’s group, absolutely swarmed Ball State, holding them to negative rushing yards and just three total points. In reality, Auburn pitched a shutout with the scoreboard reading Auburn 42, Ball State 0 – the officials spotted Ball State a field goal. It was the bounce-back performance Auburn needed after a shaky opener against Baylor. Players like Sylvester Smith stood out, flying around the football and setting the tone with physical play. On the offensive side, the focus was on developing the passing attack. Quarterback Jackson Arnold completed 24 of 28 passes, continuing to prove doubters wrong with efficiency and confidence. Wide receiver Cam Coleman hauled in 7 catches for 77 yards, while Jeremiah Cobb powered the run game with over 100 yards and multiple touchdowns. Still, fans expected a more explosive showing against Ball State, especially in the passing game, leaving room for debate about whether Auburn’s offense can keep pace with tougher SEC opponents. Ultimately, this was a game about Auburn showing growth, staying healthy, and keeping most of its playbook hidden before conference play. The defense looks ready to lead the way, but all eyes remain on whether the offense can rise to the same level. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

  • Cam Coleman + Jackson Arnold: SEC’s Most Dangerous Connection? I Auburn Football Podcast
    Sep 8 2025
Auburn fans are buzzing after two games, and the story is crystal clear: Jackson Arnold to Cam Coleman might just be the most dangerous QB-WR tandem in the SEC. Through two games, Arnold has been second in the conference in completion percentage, and his chemistry with Coleman is only getting stronger. Against Ball State, Coleman pulled in 7 catches on 8 targets, showing Auburn may finally have the elite passing threat it has been searching for. Hugh Freeze made it clear this offseason that the dropback passing game needed work, and what better time to test it than against an overmatched opponent? Auburn didn’t run up the score like Florida State or Alabama did, but that was by design. Instead, Arnold was tasked with proving he could read defenses, go through progressions, and stay patient. The results? 24-of-28, three touchdowns, no turnovers. That’s efficient, that’s accurate, and that’s the type of play Auburn will need in Norman against Oklahoma. Fans also saw Eric Singleton flash his speed with a touchdown, Horatio Fields provide reliable hands, and Malcolm Simmons make defenders look silly in the open field. Auburn has assembled one of the most athletic receiver groups in recent memory. The scary part? They’re just scratching the surface. This isn’t just about highlights; it’s about balance. Auburn went nearly 50/50 run-pass against Ball State, proving that when the time comes, they can adjust to whatever defenses throw at them. The road ahead is brutal—Oklahoma, Texas A&M, Georgia—but if Arnold keeps protecting the football and Coleman keeps getting 8-10 targets per game, Auburn’s ceiling is sky-high. • POST GAME REACTION: Ball State at Auburn I Auburn Football Podcast
    Sep 7 2025
Auburn came out strong at Jordan-Hare and left no doubt, blasting Ball State 42–3. This wasn’t just another win, this was a chance to sharpen the passing game and see how far the offense has come in only two weeks. Jackson Arnold finished 24 of 28 for 251 yards and three touchdowns, showing off accuracy and poise even when holding the ball a little too long on deeper routes. Fans have been waiting to see what this offense looks like when it’s forced to win through the air, and Auburn put that on display tonight. Jeremiah Cobb had a breakout moment with his first 100-yard rushing game, finishing with 121 yards and two scores on just 11 carries. The kid ran hard between the tackles, proving he’s not just an edge runner. Add in Darrell Robinson’s explosive 54-yard touchdown late in the game, and Auburn’s backfield depth is looking scary. On defense, it was pure domination. Ball State was held to just 68 total yards and negative three on the ground. Sylvester Smith played the best game of his career, laying violent hits all over the field. The front seven was relentless, racking up six sacks and 14 tackles for loss. The Cardinals never stood a chance, and the only points they scored came on a questionable call that robbed Auburn of a shutout. This was about preparation as much as performance. Auburn treated this game like live scrimmage reps, working through different formations and passing concepts without leaning on the quarterback run game. That makes 42 points even more impressive. With South Alabama coming up next, Auburn looks ready to keep building momentum before a showdown in Norman against Oklahoma. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

  • ALERT: Auburn Football Sends Message – Arnold Shines, Trenches Dominate I Auburn Football Podcast
    Sep 6 2025
Week one of the 2025 season showed the nation what Auburn football could become under Hugh Freeze. The conversation starts with Jackson Arnold and the trenches. Arnold rushed for 137 yards, making him the SEC’s leading rusher after one week. He looked every bit the freak athlete Auburn thought they were getting, and the scary part is—he hasn’t even played his best football yet. Auburn’s run game rolled to 307 yards, the most in the SEC, while the defense held Baylor to just 64 rushing yards. That’s the balance Auburn fans have been craving. Auburn didn’t pass much, and that wasn’t because they couldn’t—it was because they didn’t need to. Wideouts like Cam Coleman, Eric Singleton, Malcolm Simmons, and Horatio Fields are waiting to showcase their ability. Freeze has a plan to build this offense piece by piece, so by the time Oklahoma arrives, defenders will be forced to defend every blade of grass. Against Ball State and South Alabama, Auburn has a chance to sharpen the passing game while maintaining the physicality up front. On defense, the line was ferocious. Jay Hardy graded out at an elite 82.2, Darian Smith flashed promise, and Amaris Williams showed he can become Auburn’s next great edge rusher. They rotated seven-plus linemen, kept bodies fresh, and made Sawyer Robertson one-dimensional despite giving up passing yards. When your front seven suffocates the run, the rest becomes manageable. Auburn may not be perfect yet, but this is the type of performance that signals a dangerous team is brewing. 🔥 Don’t forget to like, subscribe, and drop your thoughts in the comments! • Auburn’s Defense Woke Up — Big Hits, Bigger Talk, Now Back It Up Part 5 I Auburn Football Podcast
    Sep 5 2025
Auburn defense swagger back. That is the energy I have been begging to see, and it finally felt real. I love a confident group as long as they back it up. You remember that moment when a DB told his quarterback to get ready because he was about to go take the ball back? That is the mentality this defense needs. No pouting after a turnover. No moping. Go make a play, hand your QB the rock, and tell him to cook. Demarcus Riddick delivered that tone in the first half when he crushed Michael Trigg on a wham block and let him know about it. That is the vibe I want from the entire room. Champ Anthony finishing plays with a little extra shoulder after the whistle is what I want to see more of too. The rotation at DB is not the issue. Tackling and communication have to tighten up, and when they do, this group has the depth to wear teams down in the fourth. When Auburn gets to mid October with legs under them because of smart rotations, you will see the payoff. I am high on the wideouts hitting a hundred plus, Jackson Arnold stacking all purpose yards, and young guys like Keldrick Faulk having juice late because the staff spreads snaps. Prediction time got spicy. There is a path to drop sixty on Ball State if the execution is clean and the twos and threes stay hungry. The goal is simple. Play with swagger, finish tackles, communicate clean, and let the scoreboard tell the story. Hit that like button, subscribe, and drop your own predictions below. Learn more about your ad choices.
