The Ark Encounter, Williamstown, Ky

The Ark Encounter, located in Williamstown, KY, is a wonder to behold, a life-size ark built to the dimensions described in the book of Genesis when Noah built the ark in preparation for the Great Flood. Opened in 2016, it is amazing to see, thought-provoking, and interesting to say the least. The Ark Encounter is the vision of creation scholar Ken Ham, an Australian author and speaker who has studied the book of Genesis for most of his adult life. Ham is a young earth, biblical literalist, so he believes what the Bible says about the ark, the animals, and the Great Flood. This was our second visit and well worth the time. Tickets are modestly priced and there is much more to see in addition to the ark, so I highly recommend this experience, particularly if you can take along children and grandchildren.
