    Steve Postell, new album March 14, 2025, via Quarto Valley Records, ‘Walking Through These Blues’.

    The following day, a record release party will be held at McCabe’s in Santa Monica, with an all-star band backing him up, and a springtime tour to follow with OUR HOUSE: The Music of CSNY).
    Glen Phillips, Leland Sklar, Danny Kortchmar, Steve Ferrone, Bekka Bramlett, Russ Kunkel, and the late David Crosby, among many other contributors.

    Standout tracks features Phillips on vocals, “How Far We’ve Come,” which Postell described as: “Glen Phillips is the lead singer and primary writer for the alternative band, Toad the Wet Sprocket.

    Got Tom Petty’s Heartbreaker bandmate Steve Ferrone to play drums on the track, along with my Immediate Family bandmate Leland Sklar on bass, for an iconic rhythm section.

    Title track, Steve stated: “[‘Walking Through These Blues’] originated from a right-hand guitar exercise that I was showing a student. Lyrically, it’s a reminder to keep going forward in life even when things are challenging. For the recording, I was able to grab Jackson Browne band members Bob Glaub and the late Jeff Young when they were on a tour break. Iain Matthews (Fairport Convention, Matthews Southern Comfort) was in town playing with me on a duo tour and he sang background vocals on this track.”

    Starting off in 2012 as a one-man digital adventure to explore Seb Painchaud’s interest in smoky, bluesy, haze-laden instrumental music, the project quickly grew into a melting pot of stoner, psychedelic, post, and math rock—an infrasonic concoction that was brewed to complement a potent mushroom trip across the desert. By 2014, the band’s sophomore release, Western Horror, leaned into a cinematic direction, immersing listeners into a wordless narrative that probably belongs best to a Tarantino film.

    The following release of 2016, TDIII - Tokes, Hatred & Caffeine, saw the group tightening its compositions, resulting in an album that featured a total of 12 tracks over the span of 40-minutes. Gone were the long, drawn-out build ups! Tumbleweed Dealer began to favor quickly undulating cascades of harmonies, all of which were played against a rhythm section that openly showcased a vast array of musical influences.

    While the band never actively toured, they played the occasional show. Scarce as they were, the band traveled as far as California to share their mastery of the loop station and to recreate their soundscapes in a live setting while commanding the stage with the authority of the seasoned extreme metal veterans that made up their ranks at the time.

    By the time composition started for an eventual fourth album, the group’s live lineup had dissolved. What started as a simple decision to ward off the need to write music that can be recreated in front of a live audience quickly grew into what Sebastien coined a “bucket list album”, a shining new opportunity to indulge in every adventurous musical thought in a way that was free from any concern about the feasibility of its pieces. Pairing themselves with an unlikely drummer early in the creative process, Angelo Fata from local hardcore bands Jesus Horse and Hopeless Youth, group mainstays Painchaud and Joubaud went on to craft songs that merged oppositional forces of vintage sounds with modern ideas. Mellotrons, Hammonds, and Rhodes were added on top of jazzy, funky riffs that managed to maintain the group’s melodic pallet in a way that pushed it further. If there was an elevator pitch to sum this new direction up, it might go something like this: “What if Toe and Camel got high together in a swamp?”

    More than 8 years in the making, Tumbleweed Dealer’s main driving force, Seb Painchaud, not only thinks that this album reflects a life-spanning culmination of his experience as a musician and composer, but also of his life as an avid musical fan with an obsessive need to discover new artists, genres, and sounds. Though he has released records with various projects since his early twenties, Dark Green is the album he has been working on his whole life, whether he knew it or not.

    PipemanRadio Interviews Justin Benlolo of Modern Canadian Rockers BRKN LOVE about Release of New Single "Diamonds" from Third Full-Length LP 'The Program' Out March 28th via Spinefarm.

    An impromptu 2023 trip to visit a friend in Charleston, SC gave rise to their third studio album, 'The Program.' Justin initially planned on spending a weekend in town. That weekend turned into nine weeks, and he returned to Toronto with the bulk of the album’s material.

    The album title even referenced the name of the text group for his new friends in Charleston, embedding the experience and the city in the fabric of the music.

    "It was a collective of 10 people I’d never met before, and we kept using the term ‘The Program’ repeatedly like, ‘Let’s go here, because it would be good for The Program’,” he goes on. “It was cool to be surrounded by near-complete strangers, invite them to our place, and play demos. Their opinions were unfiltered and blunt—which was awesome. I was actively searching for inspiration, and I put myself out there in different situations. I was free and unchained to do anything.”

    Keith Roth is the Lead singer and guitarist with The Dictators and Frankenstein 3000. He is a a veteran musician and song writer for more than 35 years, performed on over 50 albums, played with the David Johansen Group, Earl Slick, Sylvain Sylvain, Cheetah Chrome, Punky Meadows many other Rock Icons. You might know Keith as Sirius XM host of Ozzy’s Boneyard ,Hair Nation producing & David Johansen’s Mansion of Fun for over 20 years. You might also know Roth produced and hosted the critically acclaimed Electric Ballroom Radio Show for 25 years. Keith Roth and Comedian Don Jamieson Host a weekly podcast called Rock Strap where musicians talk sports, athletes, music. Keith also starred in the award-winning film Let me Down Hard in 2016. Winner of Asbury Park Film Festival and Garden State Film Festival.

    Well, Keith Roth is set to release his first ever solo album The Law Of Diminished Returns on March 21st through Deko Entertainment. The first single from the album “I Don’t Feel Like Thinking Today!” was released on December 6th and immediately caught the attention of rock fans and critics alike. Now he is breaking out the bell bottoms and going full on retro with a cover of the Curtis Mayfield song “Superfly”.

    The Law Of Diminished Returns contains and elegant mix of 11 songs covering many feels and grooves and features guest appearances by former Blue Oyster Cult drummer Albert Bouchard, Monster Magnet drummer Bob Pantella, Angel guitarist Punky Meadows, and Dictators/Manowar guitarist Ross the Boss. It is available on CD and Limited-Edition Blue Vinyl.

    “'Insane' flew into my head like a bat out of hell," said Stone. "I went into the shower without it, came out and in my head it was done. I sent Jimmy a voice memo humming the song and he sent back the sick riff on guitar the way we hear it in the recording.

    After watching the movies 'X' and 'Maxxxine,' a character in my head came to life and I wrote the lyrics to this half imaginary, half true love, heroine. 'Insane' really takes Sweet back to its roots of dirty rock n' roll, crazy chord changes and larger than life harmonies.

    On the heels of the tremendous success of The Morrison Project and #1 song "Crack Cocaine", rock guitarist Billy Morrison and Ozzy Osbourne release an epic new single "Gods of Rock N Roll" today, Valentine's Day.

    “Ozzy and I have breathed new life into what we always felt was a huge song. GODS OF ROCK N ROLL was written ten years ago in a South American hotel room, but with this re-recording we both feel we have finally made the song what it was always meant to be - a huge emotive ballad," says Morrison.

    He adds, “A huge portion of the song was completely re-recorded, the 61 piece Budapest Scoring Orchestra recorded the orchestral score composed by Fred Coury, and then the John Burroughs High School choir were added. Barry Pointer had the unenviable task of mixing 132 tracks and he did an incredible job. The end result is what happens when Ozzy Osbourne makes some suggestions, and Billy Morrison listens!”

    The orchestral score was composed and arranged by Fred Coury, and the song was mixed by Barry Pointer and mastered by David Donnelly. The recording features the renowned Budapest Scoring Orchestra. ”Gods of Rock N Roll" showcases the talents of Billy Morrison on guitar, Ozzy Osbourne on vocals, and Steve Stevens on lead guitar.

    The video truly represents the spirit of the song that Ozzy and Billy wrote

    Ozzy told Kerrang!, “Billy and I wrote GODS OF ROCK N ROLL together in a hotel room while I was touring in South America about 10 years ago. This re-recorded version of the song finally has all the bells and whistles. I told Billy then that it needed an orchestra and a choir, but it took 10 FUCKING YEARS for him to listen to me."

    To add to the excitement, Morrison is set to release a deluxe digital edition of The Morrison Project album on February 21st.

    Billy Morrison, the British guitarist, singer, and songwriter is primarily known as Billy Idol’s rhythm guitar player for the past 15 years alongside lead guitarist Steve Stevens.

    It’s WTF Wednesday! And WTF. This week I think should be about WTF is with People in 2025. Oh and WTF was with that White House Hockey Press Conference discussing The Canada team beating The USA team. The funniest part about the whole thing with the 51st state rhetoric was that Pipeman predicted this in 2016 right here on the Adventures of Pipeman. We will listen to clips from that episode where Pipeman predicted the take over of Canada and no one listened.
