Playing on the term The 7 Year Itch, a phrase that describes feeling restless or dissatisfied in a relationship and life in general, typically at that seven-year mark, I traced back my feelings of restlessness and dissatisfaction with humanity and the world at large to seven years ago when in 2016, "The Donald" was elected president and forever changed the planet. Seven years later in 2023, my 7 year itch has become an agonizingly painful rash from so much negativity, so much rude behavior, so much intense polarization, by so many people, and so many actions and activities hardening my once positive spirit like "The Donald’s" fast-food-blocked arteries to a level of frustration and aggravation that I could never have imagined.
