That felt off
When we say “that felt off,” we mean something felt strange, uncomfortable, or not quite right — even if we can’t clearly explain why.
Examples:
1- You meet someone for the first time. They are polite and friendly, but something about the interaction feels unclear or uneasy. You might say, “That felt a little off.”
2- She walked into the room, smiled, and greeted everyone. Nothing unusual happened. No one said anything strange. But somehow, something didn’t feel right. Later, she said, “I don’t know why… but that felt off.”
