It is my understanding that a Pope is a man but he is infallible when doing his Popeing duties. Like when he is channeling the Spirit, it makes him infallible, but for most of the day he is a human dude with moral shortcomings like all of us.

Mayan Book Burning
You asked how you can die from being strung up by the wrist in the manner they were. It’s kind of like how people died during crucifixion. You die by suffocation bc the chest wall can no longer expand and contract when the arms are putting tension on the shoulder/rib/chest muscles.

1. Imagine the smell of the room
2. I wouldn’t want to be the guy who was ordered to remove the Papal clothes. Besides the curse of God, the ripeness and filth of the fabric would have been disgusting and I am about 1000% sure good ol Stephen wasn’t about to touch them himself.
3. Imagine all the fingers that have been left as an offering at his tomb.
