A member of DFW Defendants Support reports from the first court hearing for 17 activists being charged with terrorism after attending a July 4 noise demo in Dallas gone very wrong. While details of the events are limited, it has been centrally cited by the Trump admin to justify their assault on protest and dissent, offering some clues of how similar prosecutions might proceed in the future, and highlighting the necessity of solidarity with those targeted for their political beliefs and associations.
