As an anatomical pathologist, Dr Admire Matsika spends a great deal of his working day looking through a microscope at placentas, and tissue samples from kidney, bladder and prostate tumours. But in the not too distant future, a microscope might not be part of Dr Matsika’s diagnostic toolbox. We spoke with Dr Matsika about what advances are ahead in the field of anatomical pathology and how this will benefit patients, the health system and pathologists.
